What We Can Control

Is how we respond to our dog.

We can’t control other people’s dogs, and we can’t control how other people respond to their dogs.

We cant control the environment (in large) that our dog interacts with, and therefore we can’t control the distractions that we may encounter with our dog.

We also can’t control every decision our dog makes, nor do I think we would want to (I know I wouldn’t. That would seem to take half the fun out of it!).

So, we go back to knowing that the one thing we have is how we respond to our dog.  Even our guidance requires us first to respond.

That’s it. That’s the challenge and the blessing.

It’s all in our response.
